At the end of the year we have completed lasting from July 2011 works on the modification of the data flow and verification of the correctness of the Ari@dna’s analytical data warehouse layer of the Customs Chamber in Warsaw. Works were also associated with writing a new version of the application Forms for gathering statistics.

Ari@dna Data Warehouse - built in 2009 for the Customs Service under the project called Transition Facility made in cooperation with the CAAC. This is the first customs data repository implemented on a such  large scale. As a result of its foundation there was set up a system that integrates most of the customs systems, such as: CELINA, ECS, NCTS, ISZTAR2, ZEFIR EXCISE DUTIES, SEED and BACHUS. The system is based on a modern tool for analyzing and processing data - IBM COGNOS. Using the latest technology enables fast and reliable access to data, moreover with a fully automated analysis functions - to carry out complex analysis and summaries. The application allows modeling data in a broad sense as well as their visualization, furthermore it also allows to perform advanced data mining analysis.

Correction of the ETL processes has been implemented using IBM InfoSphere Design Studio, implementation of amendments in frameworks used IBM Cognos Framework Manager tool, and to write an application were used JAVA.


Department of Analytical Centre of Customs Administration - CAAC was created in 2004 as an organizational unit of the Polish Customs Administration within the structure of the Customs Chamber in Warsaw. Performs nationwide tasks mainly involving collection, processing and sharing of data about international trade between the Polish and EU member states and third countries. Provides customs administration individuals all information about merchandise trade with foreign countries, gathered in the Customs Service computer systems.
